Would you sell Antonio?
If Nottingham Forest are promoted back to the premier league I can see them coming in for Antonio.

If they do would you sell him?

Re: Would you sell Antonio?
Antonio should never be sold. In fact we should build a statue of his iconic celebration against spurs.

Mitrovic is having an unbelievable season in he Championship with Fulham scoring an incredible 41 goals. Stayed loyal to them though and suspect he would stick with them if they get promoted which is looking odds on.

Sell Antonio? Depends on the price but he is not the player we need to offload

Re: Would you sell Antonio?
If we don't qualify for Europe we will start next season with one striker namely Micky Antonio.
If we do then we might sign a second striker, probably a last minute panic buy as usual.
There will be no spending spree either way

Re: Would you sell Antonio?
No! Antonio's main problem is the fact that we don't have a recognised striker to play alongside him. Great pity Haller was not played as an out and out striker with Antonio in support, hopefully this is just one of several problems which will be resolved early in the next transfer window.

We need a bigger and stronger squad where we can bring players off of the bench who will make a difference, something we don't have now.

If better players arrive they will replace these but in the meantime they are our lovely lovely players.

Manuel- i reckon moyes could turn fornals into a top centre mid , he has defo got the engine and work rate , i know people think he can be erratic at times but i believe thats because he is always moving at a million miles a hour not in terms of speed but work rate and wanting to succeed . fornals will be like a fine wine

Re: Would you sell Antonio?
I wouldn't sell him before we have a new striker bedded in - we could buy another Haller (or 2) and be truely stuffed!

I’d wait until after tonight’s game.

Re: Would you sell Antonio?
We need to increase the size of the squad as well as improve the quality.
So anyone who goes needs replaced, except Fredericks.
So we need a left back, two central midfielders and two strikers with Karl and Noble going.
We are probably at the stage where Cresswell, Ogbonna and Antonio need players brought in to be their replacements, rather than cover - if Diop goes then we need a left sided cb.
The likes of Benramha and Vlasic will be staying.
But that is a fuck of a lot transfer activity given how we have preformed at the last couple of windows.
One of the joys of getting into the Champions League would be the Daves would have nowhere to hide and big money would have to be spent

OneAll - I don't mind Fornals, but ultimately we need better. He spends most of the time passing to the other side.

Re: Would you sell Antonio?
Like many has said aswell move him to lw when we get a new striker

50 mill striker
Antonio. Fornals. Bowen

Re: Would you sell Antonio?
Come on mate , i understand you want to get involved but this is a shocking thread , we would not get more then 20 due to his age and do you forget everything Antonio has done , it’s only the clueless that think he hinders the team due to not scoring that often anymore , I do not no any striker in the world who could go a whole season without scoring yet still be a benefit to the team . His pace and power alone scares defenders

Re: Would you sell Antonio?
IF Forest get promoted they MIGHT make a bid for Antonio.

Very little chance of either of those suppositions occurring so what's the point of this fucking stupid thread.

Re: Would you sell Antonio?
No way should we sell him. I see it the same way as Haz and Charoo - get a decent striker in (or two) and play Antonio on the left. Defenders must hate playing against him and he'll still score a few goals from there.

Charoo 2:22 Thu Apr 28
Re: Would you sell Antonio?
Antonio is NOT a striker - he is a winger who gets played there - huge difference.

I’d like to see him back on the wing where he is best - arriving at the far post and enjoying himself.

Would hate to see him in another clubs colours playing against us. Been a good player for our club has Mickey - However if the right offer and right replacement were there then the club would have a decision to make.

Won’t happen though, he’ll end his career here unless he goes MLS for one last hurrah.

Definitely, who needs any strikers anyway?

Re: Would you sell Antonio?
He has just signed a new contract on 100k pw

Doubt forest would want any part of that

Re: Would you sell Antonio?
I don't see the point. He's played so many positions for us and he's a handful for most defences, plus he seems to enjoy life at WHU; these are the players we need if we want a bigger squad. He's not a No: 9 though and not prolific enough to play as often as he does. Two new strikers and Antonio and I'd be happier.

El Scorchio 12:37 Thu Apr 28
Re: Would you sell Antonio?
Not unless we are bringing in at least two better strikers. Even then I'd probably hang on to him to play one of the wide positions if necessary, unless someone offered mad money for him.

Re: Would you sell Antonio?
why would be sell our biggest attacking threat? he might be a bit unpredictable in front of goal but he is so important to the way the team play.
centre backs hate playing up against him.

southbank - have to disagree with you about Belotti. I dont think he'd cut it in the PL. Too slow and maybe past his best.
